Sunny Cubs is a mama-founded brand creating sun-protective clothing for babies and kids. Our goal is to help families explore the outdoors worry-free, with lightweight, breathable sun protection designed for adventure. But our mission, is to enable parents to get outside with their cubs, especially after birth.  We started Sunny Cubs to give parents an effortless way to protect their little cubs from the sun—because sunscreen isn’t always enough, but adventure should never have to wait.

Our products are inspired by adventure.  As a family, we have lived and traveled across much of the US and Canada.  From the Pacific Northwest to Northern California to the Coastal and Canadian Rocky Mountains.  Our founders bring a multitude of sunny adventures to our product and our brand.  We are currently located in Central Ohio (and that’s where our products ship from).

Our clothing is made with tightly woven, lightweight, breathable fabric designed to block UV rays while keeping your little one cool and comfy. No chemical treatments to enhance our UPF rating - just smart natural fabric technology.

We are certified UPF 50, third party tested AATCC 183.

Our size chart is here.  Our product is designed to be loose fitting.  But loose fitting doesn’t mean too big.  We know choosing clothes for little ones can be tricky.  Our best advice is to follow the size chart and know that your adventure gear should be loose but not oversized.

The Adventure Sun Suit comes comes in NB-24 month.  The Toddler Sun Hoodie comes in 2T-5T and Kids Sun Hoodie S(6/7)-XL(12/14).

Absolutely! Our fabrics are free from harsh chemicals and designed with soft, baby-friendly materials - perfect for little ones with sensitive skin or eczema. We are also backed by a Board Certified Dermatologist & mom!

Yes! Unlike many sun-protective clothes made from polyester or swimwear fabrics and rash guards, Sunny Cubs uses lightweight, breathable fabrics made from natural materials to help little ones stay cool and comfortable - even on the hottest days.

Our founder put the fabric to the test herself - from the humidity of a Florida summer to the dry heat of Moab, Utah. It earned her seal of approval.

Yes and no. It depends on how the fabric is made. Sunny Cubs’ UPF 50 protection comes from its intentionally designed, tightly woven jersey fabric - not a temporary chemical coating like you may see on many Polyester or Bamboo fabrics

To maintain maximum UPF protection, wash your pieces in cold water, gentle cycle, and tumble dry or air dry when possible. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, scent beads and dryer sheets; all of which can break down fibers and will decrease the breathability of the fabric.

Our orders ship FAST! We’re not your typical apparel company.  If you made a mistake on your order, please cancel it as soon as possible and place a new one.  Once your order is shipped we can’t make changes.
