"This is the perfect baby sun suit. Natural fibers, soft, easy to put on, and so cute. I got a size up which was probably unnecessary since it is soft and stretchy. Highly recommend."

Our mission

The best sun protection is the one they'll actually wear.

We started Sunny Cubs because we wanted our own kids to play outside without the constant worry. So we built clothing with UPF 50 protection woven directly into the fabric – sun protection that works all day, every day, without reapplication.

  • Protection woven in - never washes out
  • Covers what sunscreen misses
  • One less thing to fight about before going outside
Materials that matter

We chose every fiber for a reason

Most kids’ sun clothing is made from synthetic polyester that traps heat. We went a different direction - TENCEL™ Lyocell, a sustainably sourced fiber that stays cool against the skin and gentle enough for even the most sensitive little ones.

  • Sustainably sourced from managed forests
  • OEKO-TEX® certified safe for sensitive skin
  • Uses 10x less water to produce than cotton

Our Fabric + Our Promise

Designed by parents

The sun protection they’ll actually ask to put on

We’ve learned the hard way – it doesn’t matter how protective something is if your kid won’t wear it. That’s why we obsess over comfort, fit, and the little details that turn “put your hoodie on” into “can I wear my bear hoodie?”

  • Details kids love - so they want to wear it
  • Lightweight enough for the hottest days
  • Built to survive the washing machine
  • Tested by our own kids, every season
Why it matters

Much of our lifetime sun exposure happens during childhood

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the US. Just 5 sunburns before age 20 doubles melanoma risk. UPF clothing is recommended by dermatologists as more reliable than sunscreen alone.
